How it works, start to finish.

The whole model in six chapters — enough to go from an empty workspace to a composed one.

/ 01 · workspaces

Workspaces

A workspace is one intent — a launch, a team, a product. Create a personal workspace for yourself or a shared one for a team; switch between them from the pill in the top bar.

Everything below lives inside a workspace: its pages, its sources, its automations, its assistant sessions and its members.

/ 02 · sources

Sources

A source is a typed data collection. Define fields from the 15 field types — text, multiline, number, boolean, date, datetime, select, multiSelect, relation, formula, color, url, person, file, json — and add records.

Relations are directional and labeled: a task points at its project with a kind you name. Formula fields recompute from the record around them.

Sync is provider-driven and manual: trigger it, and a worker upserts records idempotently by external id.

/ 03 · pages

Pages & views

Pages come in 15 types, rendered by 5 engines: document (blocks), slide (decks), canvas (whiteboard + design), data (10 views over a source) and code (live HTML/CSS/JS).

Data pages bind to a source and render it as table, board, calendar, chart, dashboard, form, gallery, list, matrix or timeline. Filters (12 operators with and/or), multi-key sort, a single group-by and search shape what you see — the records stay one source of truth.

Nest pages into a tree in the sidebar, drag to reorder, and share any page with a link — optionally passphrase-protected, expiring, revocable.

/ 04 · automations

Automations

An automation is one trigger plus ordered steps, run asynchronously on a worker. Six triggers: manual, record-created, record-updated, record-deleted, schedule (cron) and webhook.

Thirteen steps cover records (find, create, update, upsert, delete), flow (filter, branch, split-array, loop, merge) and utilities (wait, http-request, invoke-model). Branches and loops nest their own step chains.

Reference data with {{ item.x }} inside loops and {{ steps.id.field }} across steps; http-request supports five methods.

/ 05 · assistant

AI assistant

The assistant lives in a panel on the right, scoped to your workspace, powered by Claude Sonnet 4.5. It streams its answer live and acts by calling 22 real tools over pages, sources, fields, entries and automations.

Tool calls render inline as it works, with per-turn duration and credit cost. It can create and configure automations — running them stays yours.

Credits meter assistant work, scaled by complexity: Quick ×0.5, Standard ×1, Deep ×1.6, Intensive ×2.5.

/ 06 · access

Members, roles & API keys

Shared workspaces carry six built-in roles — Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer, Member, Guest — plus custom roles with per-resource permission ladders: pages none/view/edit, sources none/read/write, automations none/view/run/edit.

Invite members by email; transfer ownership when it changes hands.

Workspace API keys are shown once, stored SHA-256 hashed, with optional expiry and last-used tracking.
